I was born and raised in a small Belgian village called Boortmeerbeek. Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by other cultures and languages. I graduated from high school in 2011, which was also the start of my overseas adventures. My first life-changing, solo trip was to Costa Rica in 2011. From that moment on, I was hooked. On a tight budget, I started to travel to different destinations around the globe. To this date, I have visited over 40 countries on 4 different continents.
Besides travelling, my interest in the world is also apparent from my studies. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Tourism Management and Consultancy and a MSc Degree in Global Business. These studies strengthened my cultural awareness as they were taught in a multicultural environment and provided several cross-cultural opportunities… I was given the chance to execute field research in Thailand, study a semester abroad in the United States of America, do an internship at the Bahamas Tourist Office in London, and study at three different universities for my Tri-Continental Master’s Degree, namely Maastricht University (the Netherlands), UVic (Canada), and CENTRUM (Peru).
I am still seizing every international opportunity that crosses my path. Currently, I am living in Victoria (Canada) with my boyfriend who is originally from Seattle (USA). We are working hard to launch our own travel company in the next year. In the meantime, we enjoy travelling around! Our motto is to live life to the fullest & to never stop exploring!
